Development of an interactive system for forecasting the prices and analyzing the stability of the meat (pork and beef) market

Project no.: 02-022-P-0008

Project description:

To create an innovative system, using artificial intelligence, which allows to forecast pork and beef prices for the desired period based on selected parameters, examines their stability and provides an opportunity to analyze aggregated price data. The purpose of creating such a system is to provide the user with all the opportunities to collect the data of the desired period, analyze it with the help of the tool and obtain forecasts of the desired prices in various periods. The introduction of the system will reduce the need for additional human resources and reduce labor costs. The system will increase the number of service users, as they will not have to wait for the ordered service and will be able to independently choose the desired result based on the desired cuts and filters.

Project funding:

This research project is funded by the European Union Funds for the period 2021-2027 and/or the funds of Recovery and Resilience Facility and the State Budget of the Republic of Lithuania under the measure No. 05-002-01-07-08 “Developing technological solutions and tools for safe and convenient access to services”

Project results:

The main goal of the project is to create a stability and forecasting system for meat (pork and beef) market prices using data collected in the Lithuanian Agricultural Food Market Information System (LŽŪMPRIS), and additionally by creating a database for the automatic collection of external indicators. Automated distribution of analysis, forecasting and summary data by choosing a website and Power BI tool.
