Training

KTU Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMNS) conducts non-formal education programs: scientific events, seminars, courses, etc.

KTU Big Data School

KTU Big Data School is an annual event organized by KTU FMNS for business professionals and the scientific community to get acquainted with the latest trends and practices in the field of big data.

The Big Data School is both a theoretical and a practical scientific event focused on a deep theoretical foundation and skills development through workshops. The event is for industry practitioners, researchers, doctoral students, and graduate students.

The aim of the school is to keep up with the latest trends and knowledge field of big data, covering topics such as big data and financial analysis, machine learning, and much more.

Research seminars

Mathematics is intellectual activity area with a history of several thousand years. Recently, it covers more than 3,000 recognized areas of mathematical research. In the modern world, it is widely applied not only in engineering, computer science, physics, biology, medicine, but also in other areas of intellectual activity that require abstract thinking and modeling. Number theory, mathematical models, statistical analysis are also used in the humanities or even art.

During the academic year, the researchers of the faculty organize scientific seminars aimed to share knowledge and promote cooperation between researchers, enable students to develop mathematical competence, and help to acquire mathematical knowledge from various fields of mathematics.
